The attack on September 21 last year smashed windows on seven floors of the complex on the Parnassusweg in the Amsterdam-Zuid district.
One of the suspects, 24-year-old York M., is accused of a string of other offences, including an attempt to kill the head of an Amsterdam bikers’ club.
The failed assassination ended in a pursuit during which M. forced a fellow suspect’s car off the road on the A9 near Zwanenburg.
M. and his co-accused, Omar T., are also said to have beaten up a 17-year-old boy before shooting him in the backside.
Although the attack on the courthouse took place at 3am and nobody was injured, prosecutors say it should be seen as an attempt to kill security personnel who were on duty at the time.
At the time Ivo Opstelten, minister for security and justice, described the explosion as ‘an attack on the justice system’ and pledged to ‘pull out all the stops’ to track down the culprits.
