The 31-year-old woman is thought to have become stuck during a power failure on Saturday morning that left large areas of the city without electricity.
Her husband, who reported her missing on Saturday afternoon, was the first to greet her when she was freed at 12.15pm on Monday.
The community healthcare service (GGZ) said she was weakened from having had no food or drink for two days but otherwise unhurt.
The woman had been unable to call for help because her handbag containing her mobile phone was in another part of the office.
Police are now investigating what caused the lift to come to a standstill.
