Windows were smashed and the front of a supermarket was damaged in Uithuizen, 30 kilometres north of Groningen, during the night of January 1.
Police said they were searching for those responsible for the destruction and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Fireworks are also thought to been used in an attack on a house in Oosterwolde, in Friesland, on Monday evening.
Police said a firework was been set off after being attached to the back door of the house, causing severe damage.
An investigation is ongoing to trace the offenders.
